Change Waterpipe Water Daily
Fresh water every session is the single highest-impact maintenance step. Stagnant water grows bacteria quickly and significantly degrades taste. The difference between day-one water and three-day-old water is immediately noticeable in the draw.

Weekly Deep Clean with 420 Cleaner or ISO + Salt
Plug the openings, add 420 Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt, shake vigorously for 60 seconds, rinse thoroughly with warm water. For heavy buildup, let Resin Blaster soak 10–15 minutes before agitating. We carry both in store.
Warm ISO (not hot) works faster than cold. Don’t use boiling water — thermal shock can crack borosilicate glass. -

Pipe Cleaners for Downstems and Percolator Arms
Shaking gets the chambers but not the tight passages. Downstems and percolator arms collect resin that only pipe cleaners or small brushes with cleaning solution can reach. Don’t skip these — restricted downstem airflow affects every draw even if the chamber looks clean.

Q-Tip Your Banger After Every Dab
While the banger is still warm (not hot) after a dab, wipe the interior with a dry cotton swab. This prevents oil from carbonizing on the surface. Carbonized residue permanently affects flavor and is very difficult to remove. This one habit extends banger life significantly.

Store Dry and Handle With Care
Don’t store glass wet — trapped moisture promotes mold. Rinse with warm water after cleaning and let dry fully. Glass expands with heat: don’t pour cold water into a hot piece and don’t set hot glass on cold surfaces. Thermal shock cracks glass that would otherwise last years.

A recycler is a style of water pipe where water continuously cycles between two chambers during your draw. The first chamber percolates the vapor, water feeds into a second chamber, then drains back into the first — looping throughout the entire draw. For glass pipes: apply 420 Cleaner or Resin Blaster, let it soak a few minutes, use pipe cleaners to work tight areas, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. For heavy buildup, isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt in a sealed bag — shake and agitate for 60 seconds, rinse well.
For waterpipes: change the water every day. Stagnant water accumulates bacteria quickly and noticeably degrades flavor. Deep clean weekly using the same method — plug the openings, add cleaning solution and salt, shake, rinse well. Downstems and percolator arms need pipe cleaners to reach the residue in tight spaces.
For quartz bangers: Q-tip after every dab while still warm — don’t let oil carbonize on the surface. Carbonized residue is difficult to remove and permanently affects flavor.
