A brand-new device that produces no vapor when you draw is one of two things: either it shipped partially discharged and needs a short charge before it fires correctly, or it’s a genuine defect. Many devices leave the factory at partial charge for shipping safety reasons — giving it 10–15 minutes on a standard USB cable is always the right first step before assuming a fault.
If charge doesn’t resolve it, try a slow, gentle draw rather than a hard pull — some draw-activated sensors require a specific amount of suction to trigger and won’t respond to very light or very aggressive pulls. Still nothing after that? Bring it back promptly. Charge for 15–20 Minutes
Set a timer and come back. Most rechargeable disposables reach a full charge significantly faster than you’d expect — many are done in under 20 minutes on a proper low-output cable. The indicator light will typically change color or turn off when complete.
Don’t walk away and forget it. The small battery in a disposable doesn’t benefit from extended charging the way a phone battery does — it degrades from it. Treating it like a phone overnight charge is one of the fastest ways to shorten the device’s usable life.
Unplug When Done
Remove the device from the charger as soon as the indicator signals it’s complete. Never charge overnight. Never leave it plugged in indefinitely after the light changes.
